2004 witnessed our first full year of both e-mail and snail mail newsletters.  We learned a lot and leveraged our experiences to a higher level.  We initiated our first photo essay: how to build a greenhouse which encouraged many members to easily construct bookshelf greenhouses at home.  Our reporting of the National Dahlia Show in the Seattle garnered responses from all over the world.  The photos encouraged recognition of members and fostered a deeper sense of our special community. 

Thanks to the many people who contribute pictures, stories, technical expertise, gossip and dahlia lore to provide the consistent quality of this newsletter.
